Three-Day Destination Wedding at Château Meridon , Kelsey & Will’s Editorial Love Story

When I first heard from Kelsey and Will, it was almost a year before their wedding. From our very first video call, I knew it was going to be something special. Kelsey is from the U.S., Will is from England, and we instantly connected , same creative energy, same vision. She wanted something romantic yet editorial, with moody tones and a touch of artistic texture, which fits perfectly with the style I love to shoot.

Their wedding took place over three unforgettable days at the stunning Château Meridon. Each day had its own personality and emotion.

DAY ❶ WELCOME PARTY

The weekend began with a beautiful welcome party where guests got to know each other. It set the tone perfectly relaxed, joyful, and full of laughter. The setting around the château felt timeless, and even though it was just the start, I could already feel the magic of the weekend.

DAY ❷ THE WEDDING DAY

Saturday was the main celebration, and it was absolutely incredible. The ceremony took place behind the château, overlooking the most breathtaking view. The floral design was one of my favorite parts minimalist yet organic, as if the flowers naturally grew from the landscape.

The florist used hydrangeas and delicate touches of yellow and muted blues, creating that perfect balance between editorial and romantic. It felt like a modern fairytale, captured through soft light and natural colors.

Kelsey’s entrance was emotional , elegant and effortless. With around 80 guests, it was an intimate wedding, which I personally love to photograph. Smaller weddings allow me to focus on real moments, emotions, and artistic composition. I usually work solo, which gives me full creative freedom. And when my couples say, “Xime, do whatever you feel is right,” that’s when I create my best work.

During the cocktail hour and dinner, I captured those natural portraits and details that tell the story , the laughter, the small glances, the genuine joy that makes every frame personal.

DAY ❸ THE FAREWELL BRUNCH

Sunday was all about relaxing. No pool, but a lovely farewell brunch where everyone gathered one last time to share memories and say goodbye. After such an emotional weekend, it was the perfect, calm ending.

Kelsey and Will also had one of my videographers on site, capturing all those in-between moments that still photos can’t always express , I can’t wait to share more of that in this vlog.

This wedding truly had everything I love about my work: artistry, emotion, and creative freedom. The team, the planner, and the château staff were all wonderful, and I’d love to shoot there again.

A few weeks later, I received the sweetest message from Kelsey and Will, thanking me for their photos and saying they were exactly what they’d dreamed of. Moments like that remind me why I love doing what I do.
